2025 summer school has definitely been a very different summer school for me.
I had already had to change the format as the theatre we usually use is being refurbished. I started planning, choreographing, making scripts and sorting out songs and parts for the summer school to then find out I won’t be able to be involved in the week due to an operation and recovery. I handed over the choreography to Grace and the drama and singing to Helena. I am pleased to say it was a great success and both ladies worked hard to make the week run smoothly. Thank you both for all your hard work, thank you to Mrs Booth as usual for sorting out all the costumes, altering and washing & ironing – this isn’t just a weeks worth of work. Thank you to all the children who were involved in the week for learning all the routines, scripts and songs (sadly Sophie was ill and was unable to attend photos and the filming, but I need to give her a quick mention as she had played a mean Fagan all week). Thank you as always to Emily from Apex videography for filming the SummerSchool review, we can’t wait to see the end product.
I hope you all have a lovely couple of weeks before we restart normal classes.
Please keep an eye out for new emails regarding drama exams, new acro lessons and more information about Christmas shows.
See you all soon
Thanks
Miss Booth
